I was born and raised in Anchorage, AK. After attending the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, WA, I began traveling the world by bicycle. I have visited diverse places by bike in the US, Canada, Mexico, England, France and Corsica, and Germany. I have lived abroad on several occasions in France and Denmark.
I visit local yoga studios when I travel. I first encountered Forrest Yoga at the Laughing Lotus studio in Anchorage, AK. In the summer of 2012, I participated in an intensive teacher training with Ana Forrest in Peterborough, England. My classes: are built upon the foundations of Forrest Yoga, are influenced by my active lifestyle, and draw upon the varied experiences I’ve had at hundreds of yoga studios. My classes are structured to open the body, track feeling and connect to joy through movement and breath. This practice enables me to take responsibility for my own healing, and to live free of pain.
My classes can be challenging, yet they are meant to be inclusive and fun. We will focus on alignment, breath and building strength.
